This is the largest known faceted Herkimer Diamond in the world, the previous record holder was 211 carats and published in the "Herkimer Diamond Collecting Guide" by Mike Wolters. A true Museum Quality Specimen for the serious collector, you will not find another one of this quality easily. Out of 20 years of mining, this is the crown jewel of my faceted Herkimer collection, offered directly from my collection to yours.
This exquisite jewel was professionally faceted by award winning gem cutter, Shawn Maddux. He gave this one a modified "Oval" cut. This Jewel is 99% eye clean, with smokey phantoms that give the jewel a champagne hue.  There is also a wisp of gas inclusion that does not detract from the overall aesthetics of the specimen.
Faceted Herkimers over 100 carats are very rare, you just dont find quality material that can yield large gemstones like this.  Here's a chance to add a museum quality jewel to your collection, direct from the miner.
