    Antiques & Moore!
THIS LISTING IS FOR A GORGEOUS ANTIQUE WILLIAM MOORCROFT ART POTTERY 6.25" COBALT BLUE VASE DECORATED WITH FIVE POMEGRANATES WITH BERRIES ENCIRCLING THE CENTER OF THE VASE.
THIS LOVELY VASE HAS A RICH COBALT BLUE BACKGROUND CONTRASTING WITH FIVE HAND PAINTED VIBRANT POMEGRANATES WITH BERRIES IN SHADES OF BLUE AND CHERRY WITH GREEN FOLIAGE SURROUNDING EACH POMEGRANATE.
BOTTOM MARKED "MOORCROFT" AND INCISED "MADE IN ENGLAND" . THE INCISED STAMP "POTTER TO H.M. THE QUEEN" APPEARS TO BE FAINTLY SEEN BELOW THE DARK BLUE WASH. THIS MARK WAS USED FROM 1928-1949.
THE CONDITION OF THE PIECE IS EXCELLENT WITH NO CRAZING, CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME VERY FAINT MINOR NO-HARM RUBBING IN THE GLAZE ABOVE THE FOOT RIM. NOTHING REALLY, JUST MENTIONED FOR ACCURACY. THERE IS ALSO SOME SLIGHT MOTTLING OF COLOR ON INSIDE RIM.
MEASURES 6 1/4" HIGH WITH A TOP DIAMETER OF 3 1/8", MAXIMUM WIDTH OF APPROXIMATELY 5 1/2" AND BASE DIAMETER OF 3 1/4". WEIGHS 1.10 POUNDS.
THIS IS A LOVELY EXAMPLE OF THE POMEGRANATE PATTERN WHICH IS ONE OF THE HARDER-TO-FIND PATTERN. THIS VASE WILL CERTAINLY BECOME A FAVORITE OF ANY MOORCROFT ART POTTERY COLLECTION!

They have very high quality standards and grade all their pieces into one of three categories – Best/First, Graded or Seconds. Their Best/First quality pieces have no discernible flaw. Graded pieces have such a slight imperfection that it is not felt significant enough to downgrade it to Seconds and as such the base is marked with a Gr. Seconds are signified by either a silver line or a red dot on the base.
