    Description

Blue Ridge Southern Potteries Pom Pom Hand Painted Bread and Butter Plate, Set of 2, produced in the 1950's.
These plates are about 6" in diameter. There are no other chips or cracks that I can see
, however there is crazing due to age
    .

For auction is a set of 3 Rustic Plaid coffee cups by Blue Ridge Southern Potteries. This company was a prolific producer of underglazed American pottery from around 1920s-1957. Many different patterns were hand -painted and they are now very collectable. Rustic Plaid is an interesting green and dark brown pattern and is one of the more uncommon patterns. Two of the three cups are perfect without any discoloration, chips, cracks or crazing. The third cup looks the same but has about 1/8 " scrape inside near the rim with some discoloration around the scrape. The Blue Ridge potters mark does not appear on the bottom of the cups, though it does on larger plates.
I have never seen a full set of this pattern; collectors find a piece here and there to complete a set. Please e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding. Thanks.
